Capstone Projects
Exploring a School’s Technology Infrastructure with Dr Trudy Richards
This project was designed to identify the use of technology at the American School, and examine the shortfalls, and explore the possible solutions that can be implemented to make the use of technology in this school more efficient and effective. Interviews were conducted and questionnaires sent to teachers from the various divisions, the Ed tech coordinator, the principal, and the IT manager to get their various perspectives. The results were very different and enlightening.
Designing Needs-Based Professional Development
Workshops for Teachers
Like students, teachers are always curious to learn more and to find different ways to enhance their practice. In designing, these hands-on, practical workshops, I surveyed teachers, administrators and members of the IT team to get a sense of what the needs were. The results of that survey were used to design the workshops proposed. Two teachers were also nominated as candidates for more intense coaching. Those coaching sessions are also outlined in the document. Click the image to learn more about the various workshops.
Learning Design Solution
This capstone was created by the survey data and is intended to resolve an issue the target school faces. The solution involves a series of workshops focused on increasing teachers’ proficiency in using the Google Suite of applications. To find out more details about the project click here. This presentation also discusses the project in great detail.
